Aversa Map Poster & Print
Aversa lies on the flat, fertile plain between Naples and Caserta. Its historic centre is a tightly packed cluster of narrow streets and churches, whose rounded outline follows the medieval city limits. Around it, later districts form straighter blocks, and main roads run out toward Naples and the neighbouring towns that nearly merge with it.
Aversa is known as the first Norman county in southern Italy, granted in the early eleventh century, which gives it a special place in the region's history. It is also the birthplace of the composer Domenico Cimarosa, and the surrounding countryside is associated with buffalo mozzarella.
An Aversa map poster shows how a medieval core holds its shape inside a growing urban area. The dense centre reads like a dark knot in the middle of the frame, and the lighter surrounding blocks and roads radiate from it. For people from Aversa and the Neapolitan hinterland, it is a clear and well-balanced image of home.

Radiating roads
Main roads leave the centre toward Naples, Caserta and the neighbouring towns, giving the map a clear hub-and-spoke structure.
Plain surroundings
The flat Campanian land around the town is divided into regular plots, a calm frame around the busy centre.
