Compact town core
The centre is a close-knit pattern of short streets and small blocks. It is the densest part of the map and stands out clearly against the more open land around it.

Az Zuwāydah Map Poster & Print
Az Zuwāydah lies in the central part of the Gaza Strip, on the flat coastal plain between Deir al-Balah and Nuseirat. From above, it is a compact settlement of close-set blocks and narrow streets. The main north–south route through the Strip runs nearby, and farmland and scattered buildings stretch west toward the sea and east toward the interior.
The Az Zuwāydah map poster keeps the composition simple and faithful: a dense core, a thinner ring of houses and plots, and the long, straight coastline of the Mediterranean within easy reach of the frame. Because the Strip is so narrow, even a local map includes the edge of the sea, which draws a calm line along one side.
Like much of central Gaza, the town grew in an agricultural setting, with orchards and fields around the built-up area. For many people with family ties to the area, a map is a way to hold on to the shape of a specific place: its streets, its position between neighbouring towns and its closeness to the coast.
