The bay's curve
The coastline bends inward into a rounded bay, the feature that gives the place its name and the strongest single line on the poster.

Baie du Tombeau Map Poster & Print
Baie du Tombeau lies on the northwest coast of Mauritius, a short distance north of Port Louis in the district of Pamplemousses. From above, the shape is simple and clear: a sheltered bay cut into the coastline, with a river reaching the sea and neighbourhoods spreading back from the shore on low ground.
The name means Bay of the Tomb, and local tradition links it to a burial connected with a shipwreck in the early colonial period. On the map the bay itself dominates. The coastline curves inward, the road follows it, and the residential streets behind form a loose grid that thins out toward the fields inland.
A Baie du Tombeau map poster places the Indian Ocean on one side and a dense web of streets on the other. The contrast between open water and built-up land gives the composition a natural edge, and the curve of the bay draws the eye to the centre of the print.

The main road runs roughly parallel to the shore, linking the village to Port Louis in the south and to the northern coast, with local streets branching off it.

For Mauritians and for anyone who has spent time on the island's north coast, this bay is a familiar outline. A print of it is a quiet reminder of the sea, a home street, or a house near the water.
Personalise the title, add a date or a family name in the subtitle, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint and Paper both show the shoreline cleanly against the ocean.
