Łyna river
The river curves through the town and marks the edge of the old centre, a single flowing line against the more rigid streets.

Bartoszyce Map Poster & Print
Bartoszyce is in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of northeastern Poland, a short distance from the border with Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast. The town grew up on the Łyna, a river that winds north through the region, and the flat farmland around it is crossed by tree-lined roads, small woods and drainage ditches.
The historic centre was founded under the Teutonic Order, and its regular medieval plan still shows on a map: a compact block of streets around a market square, bounded on one side by the river. Later neighbourhoods and housing estates extend beyond it, while the Łyna's curves and its green banks cut a soft line through the town.
The surviving Lidzbark Gate, a Gothic brick town gate, is the best-known relic of the old walls. A Bartoszyce map poster shows a small border town whose shape has hardly changed since the Middle Ages. It is a fitting keepsake for people who grew up here or trace family ties across the old Warmian lands.

Medieval grid
A compact grid of streets around the market square reflects the Teutonic town plan and makes a dense, orderly block at the heart of the print.
Open Warmian farmland
Beyond the housing estates the map opens into straight country roads and field boundaries that continue to the edge of the frame.
