Walled old town
The historic centre was enclosed by walls with several gates, and the dense cluster of narrow lanes still marks that outline on the map.

Bhera Map Poster & Print
Bhera stands on the left bank of the Jhelum river in Punjab, in Sargodha District. It is one of the older towns in the region, with a history reaching back many centuries, and its historic core was enclosed by walls pierced by several named gates. From above, the old town is a dense, irregular knot of lanes, clearly different from the straighter roads that grew around it.
The town was an important stop on routes across northern Punjab, and it is associated with the Mughal and pre-Mughal eras, including a mosque linked to Sher Shah Suri. Today the Motorway passes nearby, and the surrounding land is agricultural, fed by the river and canals. The Jhelum's broad, shifting channel lies close to the town.
A Bhera map poster shows the character of an old walled settlement very clearly. The compact centre, with its winding lanes and gate roads, sits inside a rough outline, and the river and fields frame it on the page. The result is a dense, intricate image with a strong historic shape at its heart.

Jhelum river
The Jhelum runs close to the town with a wide, braided channel, adding broad water shapes and sandbanks to one side of the composition.
Farmland and canals
Around the town, fields and irrigation channels form a pattern of straight lines and small plots that contrasts with the organic old core.
