Bobrov Map Poster & Print
Bobrov lies in Voronezh Oblast in southern Russia, on the Bityug, a tributary of the Don. The river meanders through a wide valley with woods and meadows along its banks, and the town stands on the higher ground beside it, overlooking the floodplain.
The street plan is largely regular, in the style of many Russian provincial towns, with long parallel streets and rectangular blocks of low houses and gardens. On the map this orderly grid contrasts with the loops and oxbows of the Bityug, and with the forest and farmland that surround the town.
The Khrenovoye stud farm, famous for breeding the Orlov trotter, lies in the surrounding district. A Bobrov map poster brings together the town's tidy grid and the soft curves of the river valley, the two elements that define it from above.

Regular grid

Floodplain woods
Forest and meadow line the river, leaving open areas on the map that frame the grid and emphasise the valley shape.
