Boca do Acre Map Poster & Print
Boca do Acre means "mouth of the Acre," and the name describes the map exactly. The town sits where the Acre River joins the Purus in the southwest of Amazonas state. Two rivers wind through the forest and meet, and the town's streets occupy the land beside that meeting point.
The Purus is famous for its extreme meanders, with loops that double back on themselves and oxbow lakes left behind as the river shifts its course. On a map that pattern is striking. Compared with it, the town's grid is small and orderly, surrounded by the free-form curves of the water.
A Boca do Acre map poster has one of the clearest subjects a map can have: a confluence in the rainforest. In black and white, the looping river channels look like calligraphy, and the modest street grid anchors them. It is a quiet, compelling image of life along an Amazon river.

Meanders of the Purus
The Purus winds in wide, looping curves, and old oxbow lakes lie beside it. On paper these shapes look almost hand-drawn.
A grid by the water
The town's compact street grid sits on the land between the rivers. Its straight lines contrast sharply with the curves of the water around it.

The print suits people from Amazonas and Acre, and anyone drawn to river landscapes and the geography of the Amazon. The meeting of two rivers is an image that holds attention and rewards a closer look.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or date. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir makes the river loops look especially graphic.
