Bogovinje Map Poster & Print
Bogovinje lies in the Polog valley of north-western North Macedonia, south of Tetovo. The valley floor is flat and heavily farmed, and the Šar Mountains rise steeply along its western side. The village sits at the transition between the two, so its map combines a level lowland pattern with the first folds of high ground.
Its streets are informal rather than planned. Lanes branch off the main road and wander between houses and garden plots. Neighbouring villages sit close by, and on the map they almost run together into a loose chain along the foot of the mountains. The municipality is predominantly Albanian-speaking.
A Bogovinje map poster shows this settlement pattern clearly. There is a main spine, a scatter of side lanes, and field boundaries fading out toward the valley centre. Mountain streams run down from the west and cross the road network on their way to the Vardar, which drains the Polog basin.

Streams from the Šar
Short streams descend from the mountains across the settlement toward the valley, giving the map fine lines that run east across the roads.
Village chain
Bogovinje and its neighbours sit close together along the foothills, so the map shows a near-continuous ribbon of houses rather than one isolated centre.

For people from Polog, including the many who now live and work abroad, a map of the home village can mean more than any landscape photo. It shows the lanes, the fields and the way to the mountains.
