Botad Map Poster & Print
Botad sits on the level plain of Saurashtra, in the peninsula that forms the western part of Gujarat. The town has no river or coastline to shape it. Instead, the map is organised by roads and railway lines that converge on the centre, with tightly packed older neighbourhoods near the core and looser blocks and fields spreading outward.
Botad became the headquarters of its own district in 2013, when Botad district was formed from parts of Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar districts. The town is a trading centre for the surrounding cotton-growing countryside and has a sizeable diamond cutting and polishing industry. The well-known Hanuman temple at Salangpur lies within the district.
A Botad map poster shows a town built on routes rather than landforms. Railway tracks cross the plan as long, straight lines, roads radiate toward neighbouring towns, and the compact centre stands out as the densest part of the map. The result is a quiet, legible image of a place that many people know as home.

Dense old centre
Narrow, irregular lanes near the middle of town form the most intricate part of the map, in clear contrast with the wider roads added later.
Open plain
Beyond the built-up area, the flat Saurashtra countryside of fields and village roads surrounds the town, giving the map calm margins on every side.
