Organic street weave
The lanes follow the terrain and old property boundaries instead of a grid, so the centre becomes a dense web of short, bending lines that stands out in monochrome.

Bumpe Map Poster & Print
Bumpe is a town in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone, with roughly sixteen thousand residents. On a map it reads as a modest cluster of streets around a central core. The roads that link it to the wider district run out through cultivated land and patches of tree cover, so the built area thins out gradually into the countryside rather than stopping at a hard edge.
Seen from above, the street pattern is informal rather than planned. Lanes bend to follow the ground and property lines, and short connecting paths fill the spaces between the main routes. That irregular weave gives the town a hand-drawn quality in black and white, with dense marks at the centre and a looser scatter of lines towards the edges.
A Bumpe map poster shows a place that most atlases reduce to a single dot. At poster scale the dot opens up into individual streets, junctions and the roads that lead out towards neighbouring towns. For people who grew up here or have family ties to the Southern Province, that level of detail turns a name into somewhere you can recognise.

Roads into farmland
The main routes leave town and run through open agricultural land. On the poster they read as long, confident strokes crossing mostly empty space around the town.
Gradual town edge
Houses and paths thin out slowly instead of ending at a clear boundary. The result is a soft, feathered outline that gives the composition depth and movement.
