Buriti Bravo Map Poster & Print
Buriti Bravo is in the eastern interior of Maranhão, in northeastern Brazil. On a map it is a small, fairly regular town. Straight streets meet around a central area, and the blocks thin out quickly into open land. Rural roads leave in several directions toward farms and neighbouring towns.
The name comes from the buriti, a tall palm that grows in wet ground across much of Brazil's interior and is important in local life and cooking. The region is a transition zone between the cerrado savanna and drier land, and its streams and wet lowlands are among the few irregular shapes in an otherwise open landscape.
A Buriti Bravo map poster is a quiet, simple picture of a Brazilian interior town. The central grid is clear, the edges are uneven, and the countryside around it is wide and calm. For people from the town, it is a portrait of home. For others, it is a minimal design with plenty of empty space.

Uneven edges
On the outskirts, newer streets spread unevenly and stop where the open land begins. This gives the map a soft, irregular outline.
Open interior land
Rural roads and streams cross the countryside around the town, leaving large quiet spaces that frame the settlement at the centre of the poster.
