Calimete Map Poster & Print
Calimete is a municipality in the southern part of Matanzas Province in western Cuba. The land here is flat, low-lying plain, historically given over to agriculture, and the town sits within a broad expanse of fields. On the map, the built area is modest and clearly defined, with farmland stretching away on every side.
The town's streets follow a mostly regular pattern of blocks, a layout common in Cuban towns. A railway and regional roads pass through, linking Calimete to other settlements across the province. From above, these routes form long straight lines that cross the fields and meet at the town, giving the composition a clear sense of direction.
A Calimete map poster turns this simple geography into a clean design. The compact grid of the town contrasts with the large, open rectangles of agricultural land around it. It is a portrait of rural Cuba seen from above: orderly, spacious and quiet, shaped by the plain rather than by hills or coastline.
