Square block grid
The town centre follows the regular pattern of equal blocks typical of the province. The design looks especially sharp when reduced to thin black lines.

Cañuelas Map Poster & Print
Cañuelas lies in Buenos Aires Province, about an hour south-west of the capital by road, where the edge of the city gives way to the open pampas. The town follows a classic Argentine grid of square blocks around a central plaza. Beyond its edges, the land flattens into pasture and farmland that stretches to the horizon.
The area has long been associated with dairy farming, and Cañuelas promotes itself as the birthplace of dulce de leche, drawing on a local story from the nineteenth century. National Routes 3 and 205 pass close by. On the map, their long, straight lines contrast with the tight, regular mesh of the town's blocks.
A Cañuelas map poster emphasises that order. The grid reads cleanly in black and white, with the plaza at its centre, highways cutting across the surrounding plain and rural roads forming a larger, looser grid of their own. It is a satisfying picture of how towns on the pampas were planned and how they meet the countryside.

Highway corridors
National routes cross the area on long, direct alignments, linking Cañuelas with Buenos Aires and the interior. They cut across the poster at clear angles.
Pampas countryside
Outside town, rural roads divide the flat land into large rectangles of pasture and fields, a wider echo of the grid at the centre.
