Old centre
The older streets bend and meet at small squares around the churches, a looser pattern than the blocks added later on the town's edges.

Capela Map Poster & Print
Capela lies in the interior of Sergipe, north of Aracaju, in a region long shaped by sugarcane. From above, the town is compact: an older core of irregular streets around its churches and squares, surrounded by newer neighbourhoods laid out in straighter blocks. Beyond the last houses the land breaks into large cane fields and patches of remaining native forest.
The town is known in the region for its June festivities, especially the Festa do Mastro, when a tall mast is carried into town. On a map the festival itself is invisible, but the streets it fills are there: short, slightly winding lanes of the older centre, opening onto small squares where the town gathers.
A Capela map poster keeps this scale honest. It is a small place, and its interest on paper comes from the contrast between the dense, organic centre and the broad rural geometry of the fields around it, drawn in fine lines. Printed large, the rural roads become as much a part of the picture as the town itself.

Cane country
Large, regular fields surround the town, their boundaries and service roads forming a broad geometric frame around the built-up area.
Forest patches
Remnants of native woodland survive among the farmland nearby and appear as irregular shapes that interrupt the straight field lines.
