Historic core
At the centre, a small knot of narrow streets marks the old village. It is the densest and most intricate part of the map.

Cardito Map Poster & Print
Cardito lies in the Metropolitan City of Naples, on the flat plain north of the city. On the map it is hard to say where it ends. Its streets run straight into neighbouring towns such as Afragola, Caivano and Crispano, and together they form part of a continuous built-up area that covers much of the plain between Naples and Caserta.
At the centre the street pattern is dense and irregular, with narrow roads, small squares and closely packed buildings. Newer districts spread outward in larger, more regular blocks. Between them, surviving patches of farmland show up as open gaps, and the main roads cut through in long, straight lines that link Cardito with the rest of the conurbation.
Like many towns in the area, Cardito grew from a farming village into part of the wider Naples conurbation. A Cardito map poster shows that interlocking pattern: a small historic core surrounded by the streets that now tie it to every town nearby. Seen from above, the old village is still recognisable in the middle.

Seamless edges
Streets run directly into the neighbouring towns, so the poster shows Cardito as part of a continuous urban fabric rather than a separate settlement.
Farmland gaps
Scattered open spaces among the built-up areas recall the plain's farming past and create quiet breaks in the dense street pattern.

For families from Cardito, including the many who have moved to northern Italy or abroad, a map of the town is a strong reminder of home. Every lane on it leads somewhere familiar: a grandparent's house, a parish, a corner shop.
