Gateway to Barlovento
Caucagua marks the transition into the Barlovento lowlands, a cacao-growing region, and the roads leading east from town are a strong feature of the map.

Caucagua Map Poster & Print
Caucagua lies in Miranda state, east of Caracas, where the mountains of the coastal range give way to the lower, humid country of Barlovento. The town sits in a valley setting, with streets gathered on flatter ground and hills rising around it. From above, the plan follows the lie of the land rather than a strict grid, bending with the terrain and watercourses.
The town is often described as the entrance to Barlovento, a region long associated with cacao growing and with strong Afro-Venezuelan traditions in music and festivals. Caucagua sits at a junction of routes heading toward the coast and the interior, so its map is shaped by roads meeting and dividing as much as by its own streets.
A Caucagua map poster shows that junction character clearly. Main roads arrive from different directions and pass through a compact centre, while residential streets climb or spread along the valley floor. The surrounding green country remains quiet on the page, framing the town as a meeting point between the mountains and the lowlands.

Road junction
Several routes converge here, so the plan is organised around where highways and main streets meet rather than around a single straight axis.
Valley and hills
Streets settle on the lower ground while hills close in around the edges, giving the town an irregular outline shaped by the terrain.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Caucagua means something to people from Miranda and Barlovento, and to anyone who has passed through on the way to the coast. A map of it holds that sense of arrival in a clean, graphic form.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be changed to suit a family name or a date. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the $9 files or order a print with an optional wooden frame.
