Chāndor Map Poster & Print
Chāndor, also known as Chandwad, lies in the north of Nashik district in Maharashtra, at the foot of the Satmala range. The town grew beside a historic route through these hills that is now the Mumbai–Agra highway. On the map the highway forms a clear line past the town, and the older streets cluster in a compact centre close to the slopes.
The hills dominate the landscape. A hill fort stands above the town, and the Renuka Devi temple is built into the rock nearby. In the eighteenth century Chāndor was associated with the Holkar rulers, and a Holkar palace known as the Rang Mahal still stands in the town.
A Chāndor map poster brings together the dense lanes of an old market town, the long line of the highway and the open ground of the hills and fields around it. In black and white it has a strong, clear structure. The contrast between busy centre and empty slopes suits anyone with family ties to this corner of Maharashtra.

Old town lanes
The historic centre keeps a tight network of narrow streets, a dense texture that stands out clearly against the open countryside around it.
Satmala hills
The ridge rising beside the town leaves an unbuilt area on the map, crossed by only a few tracks and paths leading uphill.
