Chengzihe Map Poster & Print
Chengzihe is a district of Jixi, a city in the far east of Heilongjiang province whose growth was closely tied to coal mining. On a map the district is shaped by that history: residential blocks sit near large industrial plots, and railway lines weave between them, carrying coal and connecting the district to the rest of the city.
The surrounding landscape is one of low hills and farmland, with long winters that shape how the town is built and lived in. Street blocks are broad and regular in places, reflecting planned mid-century development, and less orderly where older settlements grew around the mines.
A Chengzihe map poster is a portrait of an industrial place drawn in simple lines. Without colour, the pattern of rails, blocks and open ground becomes the subject, and the district reads as a clear, graphic study of how work shaped a town.

Industrial plots
Large, simple footprints of mining and industrial land sit beside housing, creating a striking contrast between broad shapes and denser street blocks.
Planned blocks
Some neighbourhoods follow a regular, wide-block layout typical of planned development, adding order to the otherwise varied composition.
