Chenjiaba Map Poster & Print
Chenjiaba lies in the northeastern part of Chongqing municipality, a region of steep hills, narrow valleys and rivers that feed into the Yangtze basin. In this terrain, towns rarely have straight grids, and the map of Chenjiaba shows streets that follow the lie of the land.
The built-up area follows the flattest available ground, spreading along valley floors and climbing the lower slopes where possible. Roads bend and switch back to connect different levels, and around the town the hillsides are broken up by terraced fields and small settlements joined by winding lanes.
A Chenjiaba map poster turns this terrain-driven layout into a monochrome composition. The streets shaped by hills create curving, uneven lines that give the poster a sense of depth, even without contour lines. It is a portrait of a town that has adapted to the mountainous landscape of Chongqing.
