Chrudim Map Poster & Print
Chrudim is one of the older towns of East Bohemia, built on a rise above the Chrudimka river. On a map the historic core is easy to pick out: a compact oval of streets on the high ground, with the elongated main square at its centre and the river curving around its northern side.
The town is widely known in the Czech Republic for puppetry. It is home to a museum of puppetry cultures and hosts a long-running national amateur puppet theatre festival each summer. The historic centre, with its square and church towers, remains the focal point that newer housing estates and industrial districts have grown around.
A Chrudim map poster makes the relationship between town and river especially clear. The meandering Chrudimka, the tight medieval street pattern and the broader modern blocks beyond form distinct rings. In black and white the old core appears as a dense knot of lines at the heart of the composition.

Chrudimka river
The river loops past the foot of the old town, its winding course and green banks adding a soft, curving line across the map.

Narrow streets on the hilltop form a compact, irregular oval that stands out against the more spacious grid of later neighbourhoods.
