Colonial-style grid
The streets meet at right angles in a regular pattern of blocks. This grid is the defining feature of the map and gives the print its calm, orderly look.

Cifuentes Map Poster & Print
Cifuentes lies in Villa Clara province in central Cuba, north of the provincial capital, Santa Clara. The countryside here is mostly flat and agricultural, long associated with sugar cane. The town itself follows the pattern common to many Cuban settlements: a regular grid of streets around a central plaza, with blocks of low houses filling the spaces between.
That grid gives Cifuentes a clear, readable plan. The streets cross at right angles, the central square anchors the layout, and the roads leaving town head out across open fields toward neighbouring communities. There are no dramatic natural features to bend the plan, so its geometry stays intact.
A Cifuentes map poster makes the most of that order. The even blocks form a precise pattern in the centre, and the edges soften into rural roads and open land. In monochrome, a small Cuban town becomes a neat graphic study, simple, balanced and immediately recognisable to anyone who knows it.

Central plaza
A main square sits at the heart of the grid, as in many Cuban towns. On the poster it appears as a small open space around which the streets are arranged.
Open farmland
Flat agricultural land surrounds the town. The contrast between the dense grid and the open fields gives the composition clear edges and a strong sense of place.
