Crimmitschau Map Poster & Print
Crimmitschau is a town in western Saxony, near Zwickau, in the valley of the Pleiße river. For generations it was known as a textile town, and its mills and workers' housing shaped its growth. The river runs through the centre, with the town spreading up the slopes on each side.
Crimmitschau is also remembered for the textile workers' strike of 1903 and 1904, which lasted several months. It was one of the major labour disputes of imperial Germany, centred on the demand for a ten-hour working day. Former factory sites along the river still reflect this industrial past.
A Crimmitschau map poster captures a valley town with a clear structure: the Pleiße through the middle, the old centre near its banks and residential streets climbing the hillsides. It suits people from the area, or anyone interested in Saxony's industrial heritage.

Mill districts
Former factory complexes line the river corridor. Their large footprints stand out among the smaller blocks of the surrounding streets.
Hillside streets
Residential areas climb the slopes on both sides of the valley. The streets bend to fit the ground, giving the map a layered look.
