Hillside districts
Neighbourhoods are spread across low hills and separated by woodland, so the town appears on the map as several clusters rather than one continuous grid.

Degtyarsk Map Poster & Print
Degtyarsk is a small town in Sverdlovsk Oblast, west of Yekaterinburg in the forested Middle Urals. On a map it is a scattered settlement rather than a compact one. Neighbourhoods spread across low hills, separated by woodland, and roads wind between them. The surrounding forest covers most of the frame.
The town grew around copper-pyrite mining, which shaped its economy for much of the twentieth century. Its name is usually linked to the Russian word for birch tar, produced in the area long before mining began. Old workings and industrial sites can still be read in the shape of the town.
A Degtyarsk map poster shows how a mining town fits into the Ural landscape. The districts appear as separate clusters, streets follow the gentle relief, and forest fills the gaps between them. In black and white, it reads as a series of small settlements linked by winding roads.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Degtyarsk is a hometown for many people who have moved to Yekaterinburg or further away. A map of its districts and forest roads keeps that Ural childhood in view, specific and recognisable.
You can edit the title and subtitle, perhaps with a street name or a year, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir works especially well with the dark forest surroundings.
