Villa park
The grounds of Villa Tittoni Traversi form a large green block near the centre. It is the clearest open shape in an otherwise tightly built town.

Desio Map Poster & Print
Desio is in the province of Monza and Brianza, north of Milan, in one of the most densely built parts of Italy. From above, it is hard to tell where it ends and neighbouring towns begin, because houses, workshops and roads continue without a break. The old centre is still visible as a knot of streets around the main church. Beyond it, the pattern becomes a close mesh of residential and industrial blocks.
Desio was the birthplace of Achille Ratti, who became Pope Pius XI in 1922. The town's best-known green space is the park of Villa Tittoni Traversi, a historic villa with landscaped grounds that shows up on the map as a large, calm shape among the tight blocks. Rail lines and fast roads run north toward Lake Como and the Alps, and south to Milan.
A Desio map poster captures Brianza as it is: busy, continuous, and full of detail. The rail line cuts a firm diagonal, the ring of main roads encloses the centre, and the villa park stands out as a rare open space. It is a map with a lot of texture. It works best at larger sizes, where you can follow individual streets.

Continuous Brianza fabric
The town merges with its neighbours in an unbroken spread of streets and buildings. The map shows a dense texture from edge to edge.
Rail and road corridors
The railway and the main road toward Lake Como cross the town north to south, drawing strong lines through the finer street pattern.
