Dense old core
Narrow, irregular lanes fill the centre of town, creating a tight texture that stands out sharply against the open land surrounding it.

Dinga Map Poster & Print
Dinga is in Gujrat District in Pakistan's Punjab, on the fertile plain between the Jhelum and Chenab rivers. The land is almost completely flat, and it is intensively farmed. From above, the town is a dense cluster of streets set in a wide field of cultivated land, with roads heading out in several directions to neighbouring towns and villages.
The core is tight and irregular, the way an older market town grows, with narrow lanes filling the space between the main roads. Newer housing spreads along the outer edges in more regular blocks. Canals and field boundaries criss-cross the countryside, and their fine lines show the careful division of the agricultural land.
A Dinga map poster contrasts the compact town with the open plain. The dense knot of streets at the centre reads clearly against the lighter texture of fields, and the roads running outwards frame the composition.
