Dolynska Map Poster & Print
Dolynska is in Kirovohrad oblast, in central Ukraine, a region of broad, fertile steppe. The town developed as a railway junction, and on the map rail lines are one of its most prominent features. They pass through the urban area and continue in long straight lines across the surrounding fields.
The land here is almost flat and heavily farmed. The streets form a fairly regular grid with low houses and gardens. The larger fields around the town are divided by long shelterbelts and farm tracks, which give the countryside a geometric order almost as strong as the town's.
A Dolynska map poster shows a steppe town of straight lines. Rail lines cross it. Residential streets fill the blocks between them, and wide fields stretch to the edge of the sheet, creating a calm composition typical of central Ukrainian towns.
