Compact grid
The town's streets form a tight, mostly regular layout. It gives a clear, geometric centre to a map that is otherwise very open.

Dure Map Poster & Print
Dure is a small town in northern Xinjiang, in the far northwest of China, in the Altay region near the borders with Mongolia and Kazakhstan. The land here is dry and very open. Steppe, semi-desert and river valleys stretch for long distances, and mountains rise further north. Settlements are far apart, and each town is a clear, small mark on the land.
The town itself has a compact, largely regular street layout, typical of planned towns in this part of China. A main road passes through it and carries on across the open land toward other settlements. Farm fields and irrigation channels may surround the edges, but beyond them the map quickly empties.
A Dure map poster is mostly about scale. The small, tidy grid of the town sits in a very large, quiet landscape, and in black and white that contrast is clear and striking. The print is a reminder of how remote and wide open northern Xinjiang is.

The through road
A main road enters and leaves the town in long, straight stretches. It links Dure to distant settlements across the steppe.
Open steppe
Around the town the land shows very little detail. This wide, empty space defines the poster and emphasises how isolated the settlement is.

For people with roots in northern Xinjiang or anyone who has travelled through the Altay region, this map holds a very distant place in a simple, minimal print.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, including Chinese or Uyghur script. Sand suits the dry landscape, and Noir brings out the lonely grid. Classic black & white, Paper and Blueprint are also available.
