Eiras Map Poster & Print
Eiras is a parish on the northern edge of Coimbra, in central Portugal. It sits closer to the city's built-up area than its neighbour São Paulo de Frades, with which it was joined in a combined parish in 2013. Its map shows two patterns meeting: the older village core with its short, winding streets, and the newer suburban housing and roads that tie it to the city.
Main roads pass close to Eiras on their way into and out of Coimbra, drawing long, strong lines across the map. Between these routes, residential streets fill the spaces in a mix of short grids and older lanes that follow the terrain, while pockets of open land remain where building has not yet reached.
In Portuguese, eiras are threshing floors, a word that points to the parish's agricultural past. An Eiras map poster shows how a place like this changes over time, with the old village still visible at the centre of a denser, more modern network of streets that now binds it firmly to the city.

Roads into Coimbra
Major routes into the city pass nearby, forming the strongest lines on the map and linking the parish directly to central Coimbra.
Suburban fabric
Newer housing fills the land between old lanes and main roads, producing a mixed texture of short grids, bends and remaining open plots.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Eiras is where many Coimbra families actually live, a short drive from the university and the old city. A map of the parish makes a fitting picture for the hallway of a home here, or a gift for someone who has moved away.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles. Classic black & white keeps the busy street pattern crisp, while Noir gives it a darker, more graphic look. Order it printed on matte paper or download the HD files for $9.
