Marina breakwaters
The harbour's angular piers and basins stand out from the smooth coastline. They are the one place where the map's parallel bands break into a bold, man-made geometry.

El Masnou Map Poster & Print
El Masnou sits on the Maresme coast just north-east of Barcelona, and from above it reads as a series of parallel bands. The shoreline comes first, then the railway, then the coast road, and behind them a tighter grid of streets climbing toward wooded slopes. Every layer follows the direction of the sea, so the whole town looks stretched along one line.
The railway along the shore belongs to the line between Barcelona and Mataró, which opened in 1848 as the first railway on the Spanish mainland. The track still separates the town from its beaches. On the map, the crossings and underpasses show up as small gaps in an otherwise continuous edge running beside the water.
The town has a long seafaring past, recorded in its nautical museum, and today a modern marina reaches out from the shore in straight, clean arms. On an El Masnou map poster that harbour is the strongest shape on the sheet. Its hard edges stand against the soft curve of the coast and the close rows of houses behind it.

Rail beside the sea
The historic coastal line runs right along the beach and draws a firm boundary between town and shore. The whole street plan is shaped around this line.
Streets toward the hills
Inland, the grid tightens and then gives way to roads that wind up the slopes of the coastal range. In that zone the regular blocks turn into curves.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
For people who grew up on the Maresme or spent summers here, this map holds the everyday route from home to the station to the sand. It keeps a stretch of coast close in pure line work, without the season or weather that fix a photograph to one day.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a meaningful date, and edit the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the straight edges of the marina especially well.
