El Cerrito
The pre-Hispanic ceremonial site and its pyramid form an open area on the edge of town. On the print, it is a quiet space among the dense residential streets.

El Pueblito Map Poster & Print
El Pueblito is the seat of the municipality of Corregidora, directly southwest of the city of Querétaro, and today the two form one continuous urban area. From above, you can still see the difference. A small, older centre with a church and a square sits among new subdivisions, highways and curving residential streets that have spread quickly over the past decades.
The place is much older than its suburbs. The archaeological site of El Cerrito, with its large pre-Hispanic pyramid, stands on the edge of town and was a ceremonial centre long before the Spanish arrived. The town's church also draws pilgrims to its venerated image of the Virgin of El Pueblito.
An El Pueblito map poster shows these layers side by side. The small grid of the old village sits at the centre, the pyramid site is a distinct open space, and newer neighbourhoods wrap around them in curving loops and cul-de-sacs. It is a good map for anyone who lives in greater Querétaro and wants to mark their own part of it.

Village core
The historic centre around the church and plaza keeps a short, regular grid. It is small, but it clearly shows where the town began.
New subdivisions
Curving streets and enclosed housing developments have spread across the surrounding land. Their loops and dead ends give the outer map a very different texture.
