Parks and gardens
Green spaces are threaded through the town, from central gardens to larger parks. On the map they create open pauses in the street pattern and reflect the town's reputation.

Enköping Map Poster & Print
Enköping lies in Uppsala County, on the plain north of Lake Mälaren and roughly midway between Stockholm and Västerås. From above, the town has a compact historic core surrounded by residential districts, with the E18 motorway and the rail line running along its southern side. Farmland stretches in every direction, and the bays of Mälaren reach toward the town from the south.
Enköping is known in Sweden as a park town. Over recent decades it has invested heavily in public gardens and green spaces, and its parks are regularly praised by landscape designers. The town has also marketed itself as Sweden's nearest town, a nod to its convenient location between larger cities.
An Enköping map poster captures a town in which open space is as carefully planned as the streets. The compact centre, the ring of residential neighbourhoods, the transport corridor and the parks between them fit neatly into one frame. It is an orderly and restful composition, true to the character of the place.

The historic centre
The old core forms a compact cluster of streets around the main square and church. It is the densest part of the poster and its natural centre of gravity.
Toward Mälaren
South of town, the land slopes gently toward the bays of Lake Mälaren. The shoreline gives the lower part of the composition an irregular, natural edge.

Enköping is a town people move to for balance: space, parks and easy access to Stockholm and Västerås. A map poster suits a new home here or reminds someone who has moved away of the walks and streets they knew.
