Medieval walls
A nearly complete ring of walls surrounds the old centre and forms a rounded shape on the map. It is the first feature people notice and gives the poster its strong outline.

Évora Map Poster & Print
Évora stands on a low hill in the middle of the Alentejo plain in southern Portugal. Its historic centre is almost entirely enclosed by medieval walls, which form a rounded outline that is instantly recognisable on a map. Inside, the streets are narrow and winding, rising toward the highest point, where the cathedral and the Roman temple stand close together.
The town is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best-preserved historic centres in Portugal. Its well-known sights include the Roman temple, the cathedral, the university and the Chapel of Bones, whose walls are lined with human remains. The Água de Prata aqueduct brings water in from the countryside and crosses the walls on its way into the centre.
An Évora map poster makes the walls the main feature. The enclosed centre forms a dense cluster of lanes, the newer districts spread out beyond the ring, and the open plain surrounds everything. It is a clear, self-contained map that works well in any of the five styles.

Hilltop centre
Inside the walls, narrow streets climb toward the highest point, where the cathedral and Roman temple stand. On the map the lanes tighten and turn as they approach this historic core.
Aqueduct line
The Água de Prata aqueduct runs in from the countryside and meets the walls. On the poster it shows as a long, straight line leading from the plain toward the centre.

Évora is often a highlight of a trip through Portugal, a place people remember walking around slowly within its walls. A map poster keeps that enclosed, walkable shape in a clear design that suits a hallway, a study or a gift for someone who studied here.
Add a date, a name or a phrase about the trip to the title and subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand suit the colours of the Alentejo.
