Ganye is a town in southern Adamawa State, in northeastern Nigeria, close to the border with Cameroon. It is closely associated with the Chamba people and serves as a traditional and administrative centre for the area. On a map the town appears as a spread of streets around a central market and main road, with compounds forming loose clusters as the town thins out.
Beyond the built-up area lies open savanna with farmland, streams and scattered settlements, and the Alantika Mountains rise along the border region.
