Cuyaguateje River
The river runs beside the town, and its curving course and banks form a natural edge that contrasts with the straight lines of the street grid.

Guane Map Poster
Guane is a town in the far west of Cuba, in Pinar del Río province, in a landscape of farmland, low hills and rivers. It stands by the Cuyaguateje, one of the main rivers of the province, and the land around it is used largely for farming, including the tobacco for which the region is known.
From above, Guane shows the orderly layout typical of Cuban country towns: a grid of blocks around a central area, with the river and its banks shaping one side. Beyond the last blocks, fields and country roads spread out across the valley toward the hills.
A Guane map poster brings out the regular blocks, the curve of the river and the open farmland around them. In black and white, the design has a calm, balanced structure, a small town drawn clearly within its agricultural landscape.

Town grid
Guane's centre follows a regular pattern of blocks, a structure that reads crisply at every poster size and anchors the middle of the design.
Tobacco country
Fields and farm roads surround the town in the tobacco-growing west of Cuba, giving the map a light, open texture around its edges.
