Close-built centre
At the heart of the town, narrow lanes pack tightly together. This dense area is the darkest part of the map and gives the design its focus.

Hilsa Map Poster & Print
Hilsa is a town in the Nalanda district of Bihar, on the wide, flat plain south of the Ganges. The land barely rises or falls, so the map is shaped by settlement and farming: a close-built centre with narrow lanes, roads leading out toward nearby towns and villages, and fields divided into small plots all around.
The town is an administrative and market centre for its part of Nalanda district, a region best known for the ancient university site of Nalanda and for Rajgir, both some distance to the south-east. Life in and around Hilsa is closely tied to farming on the fertile plain.
A Hilsa map poster shows an honest portrait of a Bihar plains town: a dense centre, radiating roads and a quiet, detailed landscape of fields and villages. It works well in black and white, and it is a meaningful piece for people from Hilsa and families whose roots are in Nalanda district.

Roads to nearby towns
Several roads leave the town across the plain toward neighbouring settlements. They form a simple star pattern that connects Hilsa to its region.
Plains farmland
Flat fields divided into small plots surround the town, dotted with villages. Together they create a fine, even texture across the outer map.
