Ijoko Map Poster & Print
Ijoko is a community in Ogun State, Nigeria, just beyond the northern limits of metropolitan Lagos. From above, it reads as part of the wide belt of growth spreading out from the city. A few main roads carry traffic towards Lagos, and around them a dense, somewhat irregular network of residential streets has filled in over recent decades.
Many residents commute into Lagos, and the map reflects that. Streets connect back to the arterial routes, while new estates and lanes push out into land that was once more open. The pattern is less a planned grid than a patchwork of neighbourhoods, each with its own street layout.
An Ijoko map poster turns that patchwork into a detailed, textured design. The main roads form the backbone, and the fine grain of residential streets fills the space between them. It is a portrait of a place still in the middle of growing, and a meaningful piece for anyone who calls it home.

Residential patchwork
Between the main roads, neighbourhoods have grown with their own layouts, producing a varied texture of short streets, closes and lanes.
Growing edges
At the outskirts, newer streets reach into more open land, and the map shows the town's expanding outline where development is still filling in.
