Field grid
Rectangular paddies and farm lanes form a fine, repeating pattern across the plain. The result reads almost like woven fabric when printed in black and white.

Ikeno Map Poster & Print
Ikeno lies in Gifu Prefecture on the western side of the Nobi Plain, one of the largest areas of flat land in central Japan. On a map, streets and houses spread in a loose band across low ground. Rectangular field plots fill the space in between.
To the west the land rises into forested mountains, and the pattern of the map changes sharply there. The fine grid of fields and lanes stops, and a few roads climb into steeper, emptier terrain. The result is a clear line between cultivated plain and upland.
An Ikeno map poster captures this typical Japanese mix of small settlements, farmland and hills within a short distance. The rice paddies give the lower part of the map a delicate grid texture. The mountains supply broad, calm space against it.

Mountain edge
Forested slopes to the west cut off the plain abruptly. The map shows a clear border between dense lines and open, quieter terrain.
Rivers and channels
Streams and irrigation channels cross the low ground from the hills. They add thin, flowing lines through the rigid geometry of the fields.

This is a map for people who know the region well: those who grew up there, returned to family land or spent time in rural Gifu. The balance between field and mountain gives it a calm quality that suits quiet rooms.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a name in Japanese script or a meaningful date. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
