Ilaiyankudi Map Poster & Print
Ilaiyankudi lies in Sivaganga district in southern Tamil Nadu, on the flat, dry plains inland from the Palk Strait. From above, the town is a dense cluster of lanes and houses around its commercial centre. Main roads leave it towards neighbouring towns and villages.
Irrigation tanks are one of the most distinctive features of this part of Tamil Nadu. These man-made reservoirs appear on the map as rounded or irregular water bodies around the town and in the countryside. They collect monsoon rain for farming, and channels and field boundaries run between them across the land.
An Ilaiyankudi map poster brings together the fine detail of the town and the broader shapes of the surrounding tanks and fields. The tight street pattern sits among open land and water, which gives the design both density and space. It is a clear, well-balanced image of a southern Tamil town.

Irrigation tanks
Rain-fed tanks lie around the town and across the plain. Their rounded shapes stand out clearly against the straight roads and field lines.
Plains roads
Roads cross the flat land towards other towns in Sivaganga district and beyond. Their long, simple lines frame the town in the middle of the print.
