Town grid
Streets form a compact grid around the centre. That gives the town a tidy, legible shape in the middle of the frame.

Independência Map Poster & Print
Independência is a town and municipality in the interior of Ceará, in northeastern Brazil, in the western part of the state near the Crateús region. The landscape is sertão. It is semi-arid country with caatinga vegetation, seasonal rivers, and small reservoirs called açudes that store water for the dry months.
On the map, the town is a compact grid around a central area with a church and square, a common pattern in the Northeast. Main roads lead out to neighbouring municipalities and rural districts. Beyond the town, the land is mostly empty on the drawing, apart from a few tracks, the lines of seasonal streams and the irregular outlines of reservoirs.
A Independência map poster is spare and calm. It has a small, tidy grid in a wide field of open space, with occasional water shapes and thin roads for context. That simplicity is exactly what makes it effective. The town stands out clearly and the landscape around it feels open.

Açudes
Small reservoirs built to hold water through the dry season appear as irregular shapes scattered across the countryside.
Seasonal streams
Streams that run only in the rainy season cross the land in thin lines, tracing the shallow drainage of the sertão.

For people from Independência, and for the many Cearenses who left the interior for Fortaleza or the south, this poster is a map of their origins. It is simple and quiet, with no need for decoration.
Personalise the title and subtitle and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand echoes the warm tones of the dry landscape.
