Irrigation canals
Canals and channels run across the valley floor, feeding fields and orchards, and on the map they form fine lines that organise the surrounding landscape.

Iradan Map Poster & Print
Iradan lies in Batken region in southern Kyrgyzstan, on the southern edge of the Fergana Valley close to the border with Uzbekistan. The town sits on flat, irrigated land, with the foothills of the mountains rising to the south. From above, it forms a network of streets and garden plots, with canals and fields extending in long strips across the valley floor.
Irrigation has shaped this landscape for centuries, and the pattern of canals and orchards defines much of the map. Houses often sit within gardens, giving the residential areas a loose, green texture. The border and the surrounding villages create a dense, interconnected pattern of settlement typical of the Fergana Valley.
An Iradan map poster captures that interplay of water, fields and streets, framed by the rising ground to the south. It is a composition with fine detail and a clear sense of direction, and it translates naturally into a calm black-and-white print.

Garden streets
Residential streets are lined with houses set in gardens and orchards, giving the town a looser, greener texture than a dense urban centre.
Southern foothills
To the south, the land begins to rise toward the mountains, and roads bend as they leave the flat valley floor behind.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
For people from Iradan and the Batken region living in Bishkek, Russia or elsewhere, a map of the town is a quiet reminder of home and family. The fine detail of fields and canals makes it a considered piece.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to include a family name or a significant date, and choose one of five styles. Sand suits the valley, while Blueprint emphasises the canals.
