Jeremoabo Map Poster & Print
Jeremoabo lies in the north-east of Bahia, in the semi-arid sertão. The landscape here is dominated by the caatinga, a dry scrub vegetation adapted to long periods without rain. On a map the town is a compact grid of streets. Long roads lead out across open country, and settlements in this region are few and far between.
The town belongs to the basin of the Vaza-Barris River. The wider region includes the Raso da Catarina, a protected area of dry plateau and caatinga that is one of the most distinctive landscapes in the Brazilian north-east. Rural tracks cross the land around the town and connect scattered farms and small communities.
A Jeremoabo map poster presents a small, orderly town set in wide, sparsely marked country. The street grid is dense and regular. Around it, the few roads and tracks leave large open spaces on the paper, and that emptiness says as much about the sertão as any detail could.

Long sertão roads
Roads run out from the town for long distances across dry country. They connect it to distant neighbouring towns in Bahia.
Open caatinga
Sparse rural tracks cross the surrounding scrubland. They leave wide areas of blank space that give the poster its spare, open feel.
