Kaïs Map Poster & Print
Kaïs lies in Khenchela province in northeastern Algeria, on the high plains to the north of the Aurès mountains. The land around it is open and relatively flat, farmed for cereals and grazing, while the mountain ranges rise to the south. The town sits in the middle of this wide landscape.
From above, Kaïs has a fairly compact layout. Main roads cross at the centre, and residential streets spread outward in a mostly regular pattern, with newer districts on the edges. Beyond the town, the map becomes open country: field boundaries, tracks and dry streambeds that carry water only after rain.
A Kaïs map poster is spare and clear. There is no coastline or large river, so the drawing depends on the street grid and the lines of the roads that lead away across the plain. That simplicity works well in black and white, giving a calm, orderly image of a town in the interior of the country.

High plains
Open farmland surrounds the town on the plateau, drawing a light pattern of field edges and tracks across the empty space around the streets.
Toward the Aurès
South of the town the ground begins to rise toward the Aurès, a mountain region that frames Kaïs and much of Khenchela province.
