Ribbon settlement
Houses line the roads in long threads instead of gathering around a single core. This produces the soft, spread-out street pattern typical of Kerala's coastal plain.

Kattur Map Poster & Print
Kattur sits in the Thrissur district of central Kerala, on the flat, well-watered strip of land between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. From above it does not look like a compact town. Houses spread out along lanes and roads, and the gaps between them are filled with coconut groves, fields and small bodies of water.
This scattered, ribbon-like pattern is common across Kerala, where villages and towns merge into each other along road corridors. Around Kattur, the road network forms a loose mesh of curving routes. Canals and low wetlands lie in between, some of them part of the region's wider network of backwaters and drainage channels near the coast.
A Kattur map poster turns that landscape into a fine, even texture of lines. There is no dominant centre, just a gentle spread of streets and waterways across the frame. It is a subtle design that rewards a closer look, as the paths linking homes, temples, churches and markets gradually become clear.

Water and wetland
Canals, ponds and low-lying wet fields weave between the roads. They add small open shapes and fine blue-grey lines to the drawing, depending on the style.
Curving local roads
The roads bend around fields and plots instead of running straight. Together they form an irregular, organic mesh across the whole poster.
