Railway lines
Tracks and yards run through the town in long, straight lines, forming the strongest structure on the map and dividing the town into distinct parts.

Khagaul Map Poster & Print
Khagaul lies on the western side of the Patna urban area in Bihar, on the level alluvial plain of the Ganges. From above, the town is a dense web of streets and lanes, shaped by the railway that runs through it. Khagaul is home to the headquarters of a major railway division, and railway colonies, yards and lines form large, structured areas within the urban fabric.
The Ganges flows a short distance to the north, and the surrounding land is flat and closely settled, with neighbouring towns such as Danapur merging into the wider city. Local tradition links the area to Aryabhata, the ancient Indian mathematician and astronomer, and the association is often mentioned in connection with the town.
A Khagaul map poster brings out the character of a railway town within a large metropolitan region. The straight lines of track and yard, the planned railway quarters and the irregular older streets create a rich, layered pattern. For those who grew up in railway families, it is a map of a very particular kind of home.
