Khekra lies in the Baghpat district of western Uttar Pradesh, north of Delhi, on the level land east of the Yamuna. On a map the town appears as a tightly packed core of narrow lanes, the kind of irregular pattern that grows over generations, surrounded by newer streets and then by the wide agricultural plain.
The Yamuna runs a short distance to the west, and the land between the river and the town is largely farmland, crossed by tracks and small waterways. Main roads link the town southward toward the Delhi region and to nearby Baghpat, forming the clearest lines across the flat surrounding land.
