The historic Rabat–Meknes road passes through the town, forming a strong central line from which much of the street grid is organised.

Khemisset Map Poster & Print
Khemisset is the capital of Khemisset Province, on the plateau east of Rabat, roughly halfway along the route to Meknes. The main road and the motorway both pass close by. On a map the town appears as a compact block of streets laid out along this east–west axis, with the countryside starting only a short distance from the centre.
The surrounding region is traditionally linked with the Zemmour, a Amazigh tribal confederation, and the town grew as a market and administrative centre for the farming country around it. Its street pattern is mostly regular, with long straight avenues and rectangular blocks. There is little of the maze-like medina found in older Moroccan cities.
A Khemisset map poster shows a town clearly shaped by its road. The main axis runs through the middle, side streets branch from it in an orderly pattern, and fields press in at the edges. Lake Dayet Er Roumi, a popular spot for nearby residents, lies in the hills to the southeast, beyond the town itself.

Regular blocks
Much of the town is built on straight avenues and rectangular blocks, which gives the map a clean, measured look instead of a tangle of lanes.
Open plateau edges
Farmland and low rolling ground begin close to the centre, so the built-up area appears as a clear, compact shape with plenty of open space around it.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Khemisset is a place many people pass through on the way between the coast and Meknes. For those who grew up there or still have family in the province, it is home. A map of its orderly streets marks that connection simply.
You can edit the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, and pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand in particular suits the warm, open landscape of the plateau.
