Vorona river
The river winds past the town in loose curves, with floodplain meadows alongside. It adds the strongest organic line to the poster.

Kirsanov Map Poster & Print
Kirsanov is a town in the east of Tambov Oblast, on the Vorona river. From above it has the classic structure of a Russian provincial town: a fairly regular grid of central streets, lower-density housing with gardens around it, and a railway line passing through. The river curves along one side, with meadows and low ground along its banks.
The contrast between the straight lines of the streets and the looping course of the Vorona gives the map its character. Beyond the town the landscape of the black-earth region opens into fields, crossed by long roads and the railway.
A Kirsanov map poster is a portrait of an ordinary, lived-in town rather than a tourist centre. It is chosen by people who were born there, have family in the Tambov region or want a real record of a place that matters to them.

Central grid
The older part of Kirsanov is laid out in regular blocks, a clear geometric shape that anchors the composition.
Railway line
A railway cuts through the town in a long straight stroke, linking it to the rest of the region and adding a firm counterpoint to the river.
