Compound pattern
Walled family compounds form irregular cells across the town. In black and white they give the map a hand-drawn texture, very unlike the strict blocks of a planned grid.

Kiyawa Map Poster & Print
Kiyawa lies in Jigawa State, in the flat Sudan savanna of northern Nigeria, a short distance from the state capital, Dutse. From above, the town is loose rather than dense. A few firm roads cross it, and a finer web of sandy lanes and footpaths runs between walled family compounds, so the built-up area has soft edges that slowly give way to cultivated fields.
It is also the seat of a local government area of the same name, which makes it an administrative and market centre for the villages around it. On a map, that role shows up as roads arriving from several directions and meeting near the middle. The small clearings and wider junctions where people gather appear as pauses in an otherwise even pattern of blocks.
A Kiyawa map poster keeps that quiet geometry: the rounded outlines of compound walls, the few longer lines of the main roads, and the wide stretches of white where the town opens onto the plain. It is an honest portrait of a Sahelian settlement, drawn from the ground plan rather than from a postcard view.

Converging roads
Roads from neighbouring towns and villages meet near the centre. These few confident lines hold the composition together against the finer network of lanes.
Open savanna edge
The town has no hard boundary. Houses thin out into fields and open ground, which leaves generous empty space around the streets on the poster.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
For people who grew up in Kiyawa or have family there, the map is a direct reminder of home: the route to the market, the lane to a relative's compound, the road out towards Dutse. It is a personal image, and plain enough to sit well in any room.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line yourself, perhaps with a family name or a year that matters, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9, or you can order a printed poster.
