Kogota Map Poster & Print
Kogota is in the Tōda District of Miyagi Prefecture and has been part of the town of Misato since 2006. It sits on the broad, flat Ōsaki plain, one of the main rice-growing areas of the Tōhoku region. From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets surrounded on every side by the fine rectangular pattern of paddy fields.
Kogota is known as a railway junction. The Tōhoku Main Line, the Rikuu East Line and the Ishinomaki Line meet at its station, so the tracks fan out in several directions. On a map these lines are the most obvious structure, running through the settlement and away across the fields.
A Kogota map poster shows a quiet Japanese railway town in its landscape: the station at the centre, tracks spreading outwards, and the geometry of rice paddies surrounding everything. Irrigation channels and small roads add a precise, almost woven texture that looks particularly good in black and white.

Paddy field grid
Rice fields cover the plain in small regular rectangles, bordered by roads and channels. The pattern gives the whole map a fine, textile-like texture.
Compact town core
The built-up area stays tight around the station, with a clear edge where streets end and fields begin.
