Kotovsk Map Poster & Print
Kotovsk lies in Tambov Oblast in central Russia, south of the city of Tambov, on the Tsna River. It is a young town that grew in the early twentieth century around an industrial plant, and its street plan shows that planned origin, with straight streets and regular blocks rather than the tangled layout of older Russian towns.
The town is named after Grigory Kotovsky, a commander of the Russian Civil War. On a map, the residential grid, the industrial zone and the river sit side by side, with forest and open fields around the edges. The Tsna's winding course contrasts with the geometry of the streets.
A Kotovsk map poster reduces all of this to a few clear elements: the planned town, the curving river and the wide landscape of central Russia around them. In black and white, the orderly streets and loose natural shapes balance well, making a quiet and precise print.

Industrial zone
The plant area forms a large block of service roads and buildings, clearly separate from the residential grid and central to the town's history.
